FILMS ON FRIDAY
Love Actually - Directed by Richard Curtis
The past few weeks I’ve been featuring films that are more on the “serious” side of the spectrum, so tonight I thought I’d lighten it up a tad. Not to mention I will be in Japan for Valentine’s Day (which is kind of a bullshit holiday in my opinion, but any excuse to be romantic is a good one), so I felt like watching something in that vein. Though the movie takes place around Christmastime, I still think it’s an appropriate choice seeing that this is the longest, coldest winter ever.
Featuring an amazing cast of characters with intersecting and interweaving story lines, Love Actually accomplishes a surprising balance of drama, comedy and romance that hits a bull’s eye all “rom-com’s” strive for.
Starring Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Bilbo Baggins, Martin Freeman, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, and Snape. Nominated for 2 Golden Globes.
Love is actually all around.
Let’s get this party started at 9 PM with chat beginning at 8:30. See you there!
Ps. I hate the ending of this movie… But the rest is good. ;)
