I’m proud to present the first ever SNMC in Australia! (Yes, its Saturday night in Australia…) Following our sweaty 45 minute set I rushed back to the hotel, after catching a few Anberlin songs, JUST to get this song up in time. I love this time zone; I feel closer to the future than ever before…
Speaking of the future (ghastly segue, anyone?), the song tonight comes to your ears from Australian natives Empire of the Sun. If you haven’t heard of this band or seen their videos, DO SO. They remind me of a wiser MGMT if they could time travel and communicate gracefully and peacefully with all living species, earthly AND otherworldly alike. Its a fun song to give a little pick me up to this jet-lagged fellow on a tired evening in Perth. Perhaps it can also be a nice morning/afternoon hangover cure for all you North American party animals who were out too late last night. Take a listen with the volume maxed out and just TRY not to dance… I dare you. Discuss!
