Amidst all the puzzling political posturing of the coming presidential election, looming internet censorship laws, and ongoing unrest in the Middle East, I thought tonight called for something on the lighter end of the mood spectrum.
In The Loop is one of funniest political satires I’ve seen, dripping in dark wit that sheds veils and detects bullshit like few before it. Fronted by a great cast including but not limited to James Gandolfini, Peter Capaldi, Tom Hollander, Gina McKee and the girl that played “My Girl” all grown up.
If foul language and Lord of the Rings references don’t offend you, you’re sure to enjoy this half as much as I do.
