anchorsandtentacles asked: Okay, so for the past three years I've had my heart set on getting a tattoo of your lyrics, in your handwriting. I've met you plenty of times but I always forget to ask you to write the phrase out. There's a small chance I might be able to go to your holiday show on the 30th, but if not, is there any way I could get you to write it down for me? I know it's kind of a weird favor to ask, and I understand if it's too much trouble, but I would really appreciate it.
The holiday show is the best bet for this… I’d love to do that for you!

I’m very excited to have @jenhallmusic opening Chicago’s 2nd Annual Snakes and Suits Acoustic Christmas show at Reggie’s. We wanted to put together a show unlike other acoustic shows you’ve seen me do in the past, and among other tasty surprises, we started by choosing artists that you might not expect…
So without further ado, here is a live performance video from the lovely Jennifer Hall.
December 30th is coming faster than you think, so grab your TICKETS now!

SATURDAY NIGHT MUSIC CLUB #88
Coldplay - Hurts Like Heaven

Unbelievably, December is upon us. Winter has pecked its way beak deep through the warm shell of seasons past and is ready to spread some knowledge. Coldplay always reminds me of winter, particularly this song from their new record Mylo Xyloto.
First of all, I love the new sonic direction they took on this record. Its as if Chris Martin listened to Phoenix and Arcade Fire for a 8 months straight and wrote then went in to record his songs. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. I thoroughly enjoy seeing bands evolve and take chances, which I relate to particularly well at this point in my life moving forward with my new record. Taking chances and shedding skin. No more secrets.
Plaster that smile into place. Freeze that frown upside down.
Good afternoon, Good evening and Good night.
FILMS ON FRIDAY

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Directed by Michel Gondry
It feels like an appropriate night to enjoy a modern classic. Gondry’s imaginative vision and a conceptually rich screenplay form the perfect marriage for one of the most heartbreaking and touching love stories I’ve ever seen in film.
Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet are mesmerizing. The supporting cast is brilliant, featuring Tom Wilkenson, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Mark Ruffalo and David Cross.
I’ll save waxing poetic for the comment wars, seeing as its getting late as is…
